The full off-road triathlon consists of a 1/3 mile open water swim, 8.5 mile mountain bike course and a 3 mile trail run.
Individuals may register for the full triathlon course, a duathlon (bike 8.5 miles and run 3 miles) course or an 10.5 mile mountain bike only race.
Teams of 2 or 3 may register for the duathlon or triathlon.
The Swim begins with a wave start from a gradual-wide sandy beach on Lake Bertram. The lake does not allow motorized boats allowing for a cleaner swimming experience. The water is warm mid-summer and wetsuits are not required. The triangular swim course is staffed with multiple lifeguards along the course.
The Bike course is a mix of beginner and intermediate dirt (no rocks) single-track with some grassy double-track with rolling ascents and descents. Any type of mountain bike, including fat tire bikes and gravel bikes are allowed.
The Mountain Bike Only course is 10.5 miles of single-track with a few short sections of double-track. It is more technical with a slightly higher degree of difficulty than the triathlon bike course.
The Run course consists of a blend of wider double-track and narrow-winding single-track. The majority of the course is shaded and will include an aid station.
