The Swim begins with a wave start from a gradual-wide sandy beach on Lake Bertram. The lake does not allow motorized boats allowing for a cleaner swimming experience. The water is warm mid-summer and wetsuits are not required. The triangular swim course is staffed with multiple lifeguards along the course.
